My heart is breaking while writing this, but this is the truth. We did not stand up together as a society for these Innocent Hindu people. We were busy fighting with each other, and busy deciding how secular we are, and how religion has nothing to do with crime, but the truth is we failed Miserably. Hindu after Hindu died, a few social media posts came, and a few videos came, but mainstream media was busy hiding the criminal’s names because they belongs to a certain community. However even they forget that with this, they were doing an injustice to the other community. Which is largely based in India. Yes, I have no shame in saying. I am talking about Brutal Hindu killings, that too for no reason.
A few days back, 16 years old girl, who was studying in class 12th named Ankita Singh was set ablaze, by a boy named Shahrukh. He was her stalker, he kept a watch on her, gave her death threats, and was constantly eve-teasing her through phone calls, her family asked for help, but they didn’t get any. Her family decided to talk to his parents the next day, but that day never came. One fine night, he broke her window, poured petrol, and set her ablaze. She fought for 5 days, and then she lost the battle. Her last words were, “The way I am suffering right now, dying every day, he deserves the same death.” Will we be able to give her justice? Ankita has gone but left so many questions behind.
But this was not the first time that something like this has happened. Before here there were many Ankita and many innocent Hindu people, who got the death they did not deserve. Today I want to talk about such 4 incidents. Then you decide, did we speak up TOGETHER for them? Whenever something happens with Asifa, the entire nation comes together without thinking about her religion. My question is how many people follow the same rule when something like this happens with Hindus?
4 times when we failed as a society to protect innocent Hindu people…!
1. Priyanka Reddy: You must have heard this name before. She was from Hyderabad. And she was gang-raped, then killed, and then those monsters set her on fire. Yes, I am talking about that famous rape and murder case from Hyderabad. It happened on 27th Nov 2019. When a young veterinary doctor from Shamshabad called Priyanka reddy was found dead and in burnt condition under a bridge near Shadnagar. It was late in the evening when Priyanka’s scooter wasn’t starting and she was looking for help. 4 Men came to her offering a helping hand, she realized something is wrong, but she couldn’t control the situation. With evil intentions, they took her and her scooter to the nearby area and raped her brutally, and then murdered her. And the main accused was Mohammad Arif along with his 3 friends. Have you seen any so-called famous personality holding placards for her? Or doing a candle march for her? Well, NO. because she was a Hindu Girl, and how can you talk evil about some Muslim boy, when you call yourself secular right? She got justice in an encounter all 4 criminals were killed, however, think as a society did we stand together for her?
2. Kanhaiyalal: This is a very recent case, and I am sure everyone must know about it. Kanhaiyalal apparently supported Nupur Sharma’s statement on Prophet Mohammad. On28th June 2022 two men named Mohammad Riaz Attari and Mohammad Ghaus came to this tailor Kanhaiyalal’s shop with evil intentions, while Kanhiayalal was unaware of their intentions, they suddenly attacked him and chopped off his head by saying “Gustakh - E - Nabi ki ek hi saza sir tan se Juda.” Tell me how many Muslim celebrities protested against this incident. From small celebrities like Gauahar Khan who always talks about how Muslims are suffering in India to Salman Khan, Shahrukh Khan, and Aamir khan whose wives felt that they aren’t safe anymore in India, even uttered a word? Did they? I don’t remember. This is hypocrisy, and there we failed as a society because some Hindus were also stating like “Why did he even support her in the first place.” I mean how can that even be a question?
3. Sunil Kumar Nath: He was another unfortunate Kashmiri Pandit, who has been shot by Muslim Militants in the Valley on 17th August 2022. He was 45 and living in Shopian. Look at the irony when the news was published, and officially it came from J&K police, they said, One man died by the terrorist and one is injured and they both belong to the “MINORITY”. They did not have the guts to say, they were Kashmiri Pandits. Even after 30+ years, Kashmiri Pandits are not safe in the valley. We have seen Movie Kashmir Files, and we haven’t learned anything from it. No one openly said that he was a Kashmiri Pandit and they have become Minorities in their own country. Isn’t this horrible?
4. Ankit: A 19 years old Hindu boy from UP was killed brutally because he dated a Muslim girl Ameena Khatun. And he was killed by her brothers Irfan and Irshad. Ankit was an innocent man who fell in love with Ameena, who was also in love with Ankit. It wasn’t a one-sided love story and on 29th August 2022, he was killed by the two brothers. Now let me ask you a question if a similar incident has happened where the Girl was Hindu and the boy was Muslim, it would have been headlining all over, and then all the celebrities would have started talking about how we defame Mulsim Community on the name of Love Jihad. Love Jihad is a reality let’s accept that. But this case wasn’t that. This was a pure cold-blooded murder of a young Innocent Hindu boy. And the sad part is half of the country doesn’t even know about this incident.
These all are symbolic cases. And I know there are so many I haven’t talked about all Kashmiri Pandit Killings, I haven’t talked about Kishan Bharwad, I haven’t talked about Ankit Sharma who was stabbed 400 times to the death when the Delhi riots happened. I haven’t talked about many incidents. Here the entire point was, Killings based on religion are happening, we can’t deny the fact. Hindus are being targeted again we can’t deny the fact and we as a society not coming together or not making enough efforts to protect them, this is also a reality.
