Tirupati, September 28: Calling it a "targeted act" of insulting Hinduism, Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu took a dig at the ruling YSRCP party for painting party colors over the images of Gods and Goddesses in Tirupati.
Taking to his official Twitter handle, Naidu shared a collage showing before and after images of SV University Road in Tirupati. One picture showed images of deities on a wall and another showed YSRCP's colors.
"Shocked to see images of Hindu Gods & Goddesses in the temple town of #Tirupati being replaced with party colors of ruling YSR Congress Party. Devotees are seething with anger over these targeted acts of insulting Hinduism," he tweeted.
Some other TDP leaders had also pointed out the removal of wall paintings depicting the 'Itihasas' near West Church Road by YSRCP colors ahead of CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's visit to the holy city.
