Amritsar, Sept 22: With the efforts of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, about 500 members of 56 Sikh families from 12 villages in the border region of Punjab have returned home to Sikhi, which are located in Guru Ki Wadali, Khaparkheri, Ramuwal, Dhattal, Chicha, Bhakna, Burj, Sohal and Jhabal, etc. are related to the villages.
In this regard, about 100 returning Sikhs who participated in a special ceremony held at Gurdwara Cheharta Sahib Patshahhi Sixth Sri Amritsar today were greeted by members of the Shiromani Committee. He said that according to the instructions of the President of the SGPC, Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, the Dharma Prachar Committee is conducting a propaganda movement in the border area and special attention is being paid to the cases of religious conversion. During the evangelical movement, it has come to light that the cases of conversion are related to ignorance and delusion and the so-called Christian preachers are misleading the people accordingly. He said that the survey is going on by the Shiromani Committee in the border areas and the facilities provided by the Shiromani Committee to the needy in these areas are also being informed. During the dharma prachar movement, the congregation is being told that free education is provided by the Shiromani Committee to poor students as well as Amritdhari students. Along with this, free residential centers have been established at Talwandi Sabo and Sri Fatehgarh Sahib for the higher education of Amritdhari Sikh girls. The Shiromani Committee arranges education, accommodation, and food here. Apart from this, medical camps are also organized from time to time in the border villages for health facilities. He said that all these facilities are for the needy and that Sangat should take advantage of them. He appealed to the congregation to be aware of the scams of the so-called Christian preachers.
