Rapper EPR shows support for Kanhaiya Lal

The popular rapper from Kolkata came out with the religious extremism for The MTV Hustle 2.0. In his rap, he condemned Kanhaiyalal's murder over his social media post supporting suspended BJP leader Nupur Sharma.

Sharing his 'protest poetry', the musician wrote on his social media, "Bachao mere desh ko kattarwad ke bhoot se [Save my country from religious extremism]! Soul of Indian culture is unity and peace. Extremism has no place whatsoever."

Speaking about the incident, he raps, "Bahane kapde silwane ke, they split his head across; Police ki laparwahi in murder prevention, dhamkiyan ignored--communal tensions."

This is not the first time EPR has spoken about social issues through his rap. The musician is currently a Squad Boss on the reality show MTV Hustle's Season 2. People on social media have appreciated his song and even pleaded with Union Home Minister Amit Shah to provide him protection, given how Hindus are being murdered in broad daylight for expressing their views.
However, there have been claims that he is leftist and has criticised the Modi government in the past.
He has also uploaded the clip that speaks of Kanhaiya Lal's murder. Is it for publicity? Is it okay for right wings netizens to support these people blindly just because they have called out the murderers of Kanhaiya Lal once?
