SDPI flag hoisted on the govt school in Nalanda

Nalanda, Aug 9: A Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) flag was hoisted in a government school in Bihar's Nalanda, prompting the district administration to order a probe into the incident.
Some pictures have surfaced that purportedly showed that some people hoisted the SDPI flag inside the school premises and a few children also saluted it.
Taking note of the incident, Kumar Anurag, SDM Bihar Sharif, Nalanda, said that the administration is investigating the case and the date and timing of the video are yet to be ascertained. "The photo is going viral but it needs to be investigated as to when this incident happened," the official said. Reacting to the incident, BJP leader RP Singh said that hoisting of an SDPI flag inside the premises of the government school is a dangerous trend and the government of Bihar should take strict action against the persons responsible. He also said that the school authorities should also be questioned. Meanwhile, Congress leader Udit Raj said that the administration should thoroughly probe the incident and the law should take its own course. Raj said strict action should be taken against the persons who hoisted the SDPI flag inside the school premises in Nalanda. Notably, SDPI was founded in 2009 and is the political offshoot of the Popular Front of India (PFI).
In July 2022, a joint operation of the Bihar Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) and the National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted a raid in Patna's Sabji Bagh locality and recovered many incriminating documents from the offices of the PFI and SDPI. The joint raid was conducted after several persons were arrested for allegedly indulging in anti-national activities. The officials had recovered several documents including the PFI's 'Mission 2047' for making India an Islamic state.
