Veteran actor Mithilesh Chaturvedi passes away after suffering from heart ailment

Mumbai, August 4: Veteran Bollywood actor Mithilesh Chaturvedi has passed away. On Thursday morning, filmmaker Hansal Mehta took to Instagram to share the unfortunate news.

He breathed his last on the evening of August 3 at a hospital in Mumbai. He was 68 at time of his demise.
 
 
According to reports, Mithilesh had been suffering from cardiac ailments for quite some time now. A while ago, he suffered a heart attack, after which he had shifted base to his hometown Lucknow to recover.

Mithilesh's son-in-law Ashish Chaturvedi confirmed the news on social media. "You were the best father in the world. You loved me not like a son-in-law but as your own son. May your soul rest in peace," he wrote on his Facebook handle.

Chaturvedi had been a part of several popular films, including 'Gadar: Ek Prem Katha', 'Koi Mil Gaya', 'Bunty Aur Babli', 'Taal', 'Krrish', 'Asoka', and 'Ready', among others.

He was also seen in the hit web series 'Scam 1992', in which he essayed the role of Ram Jethmalani. His last film was 'Gulabo Sitabo' with Amitabh Bachchan and Ayushmann Khurrana.

According to reports, the actor also bagged a web series with Maninee De titled 'Talli Joddi'. News broke last year that the actor was roped in for the upcoming series. However, details of the same were not revealed.
