We are celebrating 76th Independence day today. This is a day we celebrate because we got freedom from the British Empire. Did we ever think that A British girl will describe India’s glory through Ekatmata Stotra? But this has happened. While the entire nation is busy wishing each other today in the English Language, This girl Gabriella Burnel who is fondly called by her internet name Gaiea sang Ekatmata Stotra to describe India’s greatness and glory.
When in India Ekatmta Story is always directly related to RSS, this girl has no clue what RSS is and what it stands for. All she knew is the Language of Sanskrit and the beautiful meaning of Ekatmata Sotra which describes the real meaning and glory of India.
Hailing from England, Gabrialla developed an interest in singing Sanskrit songs. She loves singing it because its sound makes her feel happy and relaxed at the same time. Even her name has the language ‘Sanskrit’, which pretty much sums up the whole thing. She is a famous YouTuber who has more than 500K subscribers.
Ekatmata Stora: The song of the National Unity of India
Ekatmata Stotra is the song of the National Unity of India, which is in Sanskrit. It contains the list of great sons and daughters of India from time immemorial till now, who contributed to the building of India and the great Hindu civilization. Apart from this, the names of ideal women of India, religious books, rivers, mountains, holy spirits, and gurus of Sanatan Dharma, etc. are mentioned in it. It is said that once you recite this stotra you don’t need to say something or sing something as a prayer as it includes everything.
The irony is we have labialized this holy, sacred song of our nation and somehow denied its importance and glory of the same. But thanks to A British girl Gabrialla. Who sang it so soulfully and shared the beauty and greatness of India with not just Indians but with the world.
On this Independence day, she says on Twitter, “Thank you India for welcoming me, thank you for being the guardians of ancient treasures so that they may be available for generation upon generation.”
Let’s think about it, if she can, why can’t we? It’s our Nation when A British Girl who has no Indian Background can be so proud of our culture, our Sanskrit language, our Ekatmata Sotra, why can’t we? Why can’t we give due credit to the treasures that we have? Why do we blindly follow westernization when they are turning toward Ancient Indian Treasures? Why do we demean it and consider it something low? Why do we label it and snatch away the due credit that we should give?
It’s high time that we should accept, appreciate and promote the Glory of India, the way Giaea did through singing our Ekatmata Stotra. This is how we will truly appreciate our country, Our India. What do you think about it? Let us know in the comments below.
