Ready For Rishi! UK likely to get its first Indian origin PM as Rishi Sunak bids for the position

London, Jul 9: After Former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson submitted his resignation, it is much likely that Indian origin Rishi Sunak might become the next the Prime Minister of the UK. He is presently Chancellor of the Exchequer. Sunak claims he has the support of more than 80 to 100 MPs.

The Indian origin Rishi Sunak, who is bidding to become the next Prime Minister of the UK, followed after the resignation of Boris Johnson, released his campaign video shedding light on his background and how his parents worked hard to give him a better life and how the UK offered them the opportunity to achieve their dreams.

The video showed pictures of Usha and Yashvir Sunak, Rishi Sunak’s parents and glimpses of his childhood. In the video Sunak says, “Do we confront this moment with honesty, seriousness and determination, or do we tell ourselves comforting fairy tales that might make us feel better in the moment but will make our children worse off tomorrow."
 
 
 
 
 
Rishi Sunak has also announced his slogan ‘Ready For Rishi.’ Fellow conservatives Mark Harper, the Former Chief Whip, Oliver Dowden, Former Party Co-Chair, and Mark Spencer, Leader of the House of Commons.

Earlier when Rishi Sunak was appointed as the Chief secretary to the Treasury, he had taken oath as member of the parliament in the new House of Commons holding the Bhagwad Gita. The gesture reflected increasing diversity in the British parliament in recent years and was was praised world wide.
