A contingent of 300 bikers participated who belonged to BJP’s Yuva Morcha had come from different places of the country. The aim is to pay homage to the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives during the 1999 Kargil war against Pakistan.
Heavy security deployment has been deployed around the Ghanta Ghar in Lal Chowk, Srinagar as BJP leaders have assembled to organize the first “Tiranga bikers rally”. The roads from Regal Chowk to Hari Singh High Street were closed and security forces deployed in strength manning all lanes and bylanes to thwart any untoward incident.

National President of BJP Yuva Morcha, Tejasvi Surya said, "BJYM led a monumental feat by unfurling 🇮🇳#TirangaAtLalChowk today thanks to the resolve of HM Shri @AmitShah Ji. His instrumental efforts in abrogation of Article 370 & strengthening democracy at grassroots level in J&K has paved way for this."
BJP’s J&K president, Ravinder Raina while addressing a gathering said that the tiranga is “our identity and it belongs to everyone irrespective of religion, caste and creed. Many people have sacrificed their lives for India’s independence. Many officers have also been killed for this tricolor."
