Sonia Gandhi arrived today at Enforcement Directorate's headquarters in central Delhi. She is being questioned regarding the alleged money laundering case related to National Herald Newspaper. After 2 hours of questioning, she left the ED office on medical grounds. The common man is curious about what sort of questions were asked to her?

1. The questioning will take place in 3 rounds: It has been said that the questioning will take place in 3 rounds, in the first round there will be some personal questions, in the second and third rounds the questions will be regarding Young India and Associated Journals Limited. And in the third round, the question will be regarding Congress and AGL again.
2. Sonia Gandhi was allowed to leave if she feels unwell: Sonia Gandhi is going through post-Covid complications hence she was allowed to leave when she feels unwell and one medical officer will also accompany her, however, he will not be allowed to sit with her while the questioning is going on. She did leave after 2 hours of questioning on medical grounds.
3. The questions could be: As per the resources, in the further questioning she can be asked questions like “Whose idea it was to make Young India?” Details about her income tax, her pan number, and details about the property she has in and outside of India. There can be other questions too.
4. Sonia Gandhi appeared after the 3rd Summon by ED: Sonia Gandhi appeared before ED today after the 3rd summon. Before this on 8th June 2022 and 23rd June 2022 she was summoned however she gave the reason for Corona Virus infection and did not appear in front of ED.
5. There were 5 officers led by a woman Additional Director: The Congress President Sonia Gandhi's questioning by the Enforcement Directorate in the National Herald case was carried out by five officers led by a woman Additional Director. Sonia Gandhi’s daughter Priyanka Gandhi was also present there with her mother, she was waiting in a separate room.
Before Sonia Gandhi, even Rahul Gandhi was also being questioned. National Hareld was a newspaper established by Jawaharlal Nehru in 1938 during the freedom struggle, later on, it became the mouthpiece of Congress. Over the decade circulation and finances dropped before it finally closed in 2008 with a debt of Rs 90 crore. After that, the company Associated Journal Limited (AJL) became a real estate firm with properties in Delhi, Lucknow, and Mumbai.
