After unveiling of the 6.5 m long National Emblem cast of bronze at New Parliament building roof, PM Modi interacted with the workers involved in construction of the new Parliament building.

New Delhi, Jul 11: Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled the 6.5 m long National Emblem cast made of bronze on the roof of the New Parliament Building, on Monday (Jul 11). On the occasion, he also interacted with the workers involved in the construction of the new Parliament.

According to reports, the bronze cast weighs around 9,500 kg and stands 6.5 m tall. It has been placed at the top of the Central Foyer of the New Parliament Building. A supporting structure of steel weighing around 6500 Kg has been constructed in order to support the Emblem.
 
 
 
 
 
The concept sketch and process of casting of the National Emblem on the roof of the New Parliament Building has been through eight different phases of preparation from clay modeling and computer graphic to bronze casting and polishing, reports Times Now.
 
After unveiling of the structure, PM Modi interacted with the workers involved in construction of the new Parliament building. According to the plan, the new Parliament is being built adjacent to the heritage Parliament building, where the Emblem is seen crowning the building. The project is expected t be completed in time for the Winter Session of Parliament.
