Medha Patkar booked under IPC 420 for alleged misuse of funds

The Complainant said they don’t have any account for Rs. 13 cr raised for said “cause”.

According to media reports, the FIR alleges that Medha Patkar and other trustees misled the people to donate to her trust for the welfare of the people of Narmada Valley in Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra.

The FIR also alleged that Patkar and other trustees had used the sums of money so collected by her for political and ‘anti-national agenda’, the ANI report said. 

Ironically, the FIR came days after she confronted massive protest from the local people in Dhinkia village in Odisha’s Jagatsinghpur district where a demonstration against the JSW steel project was going on. The local people asked her to pack up and go back while she was trying to visit the residence of an arrested protester, a PTI report said.

Debendra Swain, an activist who spearheaded the protests against the JSW steel project over the concerns of displacement of local people was arrested in January amidst clashes between the police and protesters. Patkar wanted to visit the residence of Swain and meet his family members when the local people stopped her from doing so.

In April mysterious funding was found in Patkar’s NGO from a company that happens to be one of defence ministry partners.

Here are a few details, and more of her nefarious efforts for halting every development project in India.

Medha Patkar’s NGO Narmada Bachao Andolan (NBA) has received funds from the Mazgaon Dock Shipyard which is the Ministry of Defence’s partner for making warships. The most pertinent question raised here is: What made the Mazgaon Dock Shipyard donate to her NGO which is a known Naxal sympathizer?

Though the ED, DRI, and the I-T have taken note of suspicious entries which was overlooked for 17 yrs, the role of Mazagaon must be scanned. It may concern national security. The mere name of Patkar should buzz alarm as from Sardar Sarovar, nuclear, coal mine, CAA to farm laws, there is no project or reform which she has not protested against in the “interest of” poor and &special tribals. Narmada Bachao Andolan (NBA) was her flagship project which was rebutted by SC for misleading them for many years. This verdict part from SC is good enough to assess the motives of the NBA.

It was a time when Patkar had become the mascot of all such anti-national protests. This banner with an open warning of the 'consequences' to government officials at the proposed dam site is a testimony of the nature of agitprop NBA. The project was conditionally approved by the courts.

No surprise, Patkar picked AAP or vice versa for contesting Lok Sabha seat in 2014.

In nutshell, these hardcore leftists like Medha Patkar and Arundhati Roy, who damage things at the root level, are far more dangerous than these current-age social media and YouTubers leftists.
