Historic! Rajpath Infracon completes 75 kms at NH6 (new NH 53) as promised

Akola, June 7: Scripting history globally, the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) and Rajpath Infracon has constructed 75 kms continuously paving the longest stretch of road with bituminous concrete in less than 5 days at NH6 (new NH 53).

Jagdish Kadam, CMD of Rajpath Infracon expressed his happiness as he and his team have kept the promise to the nation. Speaking on the milestone, he said, "Rajpath Infracon completed a continuous laying of the bituminous concrete road for 75 kms as we promised. This Guinness World Record, we are going to dedicate to our motherland."
 
 
Further, he added, "As our honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji and our Union Minister for Road Highways and Transportation Nitin Gadkari said that do something on 75th Year of Independence Day, we decided to take up this challenge and make it possible and the moment has come."
 
It is pertinent to mention that NHAI and a renowned 35-year-old Pune-based infrastructure giant Rajpath Infracon Pvt. Ltd partnering with M/s MSV International Inc. in association with, M/s Sterling Indo Tech Consultants Pvt. Ltd was attempting to mark its entry into the Guinness World Records (GWR) under the category of “Longest Piece of Bituminous Concrete Laid Continuously”.

The construction of the longest highway stretch is taking place between Amravati and Akola. It has commenced work on this project on the Amravati and Akola stretch of the National Highway No. 6 from June 3 to 7, 2022. The project was started on June 3, 2022 around 7 AM. The Amravati-Akola 75-km stretch has been particularly in poor condition for more than 10 years.
 
On the lines of “Gati-Shakti” project launched by the PM Narendra Modi under the dynamic leadership of Surface Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari, the Rajpath Infracon’s project had aimed to achieve integrated and seamless multi-modal connectivity for the movement of people, goods and services across the country.
