New Delhi, June 5: In a major development, Union Road Transport and Highways in India Minister
Nitin Gadkari has sent best wishes to Rajpath Infracon Pvt Ltd, a Pune-based infrastructure giant, which is attempting to achieve a Guinness World Record.
It has undertaken an attempt to "construct a 75-km Continuous Bituminous Concrete in Single Lane on the section of NH 53 between Amravati to Akola stretch in Maharashtra."
Taking to Twitter, Gadkari tweeted, "My best wishes to them for their target of world record. The representatives on the behalf of Guinness Book of World Records are present at the actual work site and recording all activities."
Further, he added, "I hopeful to see the world record enter into Guinness Book that will make the entire Nation happy and proud".
In order to do so, the Union Minister has assigned his Technical Advisor to inspect the work. The official, after a diligent inspection has informed Gadkari that 17.370 km (2L+PS) i.e. 37.74 km single lane Continuous Bituminous Concrete road was laid within 48 hours by Team NHAI and Rajpath Infracon.
