Maharashtra is seeing a huge political crisis in history these days. Shivsena is about to fall, Something new is going to happen very soon in Maharashtra, and all we want to know is, who is going to win this “Musical Chair”? Well this will happen someday, we all anticipated, but it was going to happen in this way, no one predicted it. Now the question is “What Next”?
Shivsena’s own trusted MLAs are now against CM Uddhava Thackeray. Eknath Shinde clan is getting stronger day by day and now, Shivsena is at a stage where they can collapse at any time. They are ready to move out of NCP and Congress Aghadi. But it seems, it is too late now.
What was the major reason behind this entire crisis?
As per the senior political analyzers, there could be 2-3 reasons behind whatever happening these days in Maharashtra. And let us talk about the same :
1. Inaccessability of CM Udhhav Thackeray: As per Eknath Shinde and other members of the Shinde clan CM Udhdhav Thackeray has always been inaccessible, not just for the common people, but to their own karyakarta’s as well. He has always been online, but never available offline for his party members, however people from NCP and Congress had the access to CM and his office, this was a major hurt for Shinde clan members. A CM should be the most reachable man for karyakartas and the common man as well. Karyakarta should feel that he is one of them and can understand their issues on their level and solve it too. Ex-CM Devendra Fadnavis is a great example of the same. He has always been active on SMS. He has always been there for party karyakartas even when he was CM. This accessibility was missing in Uddhav Thakeray, which made the Shinde Clan disappointed.
2. Overconfidence of Shivsena: Listen to any interview given by Sanjay Raut. You will constantly feel overconfidence and rudeness. This overconfidence and rudeness kept the real, hardworking karyakarta away from CM Thackeray and also hurt their feelings. In the last 2+ years, Shivsena is making many mistakes, however, there is no humbleness towards Janata and Karyakarta which are the two major pillars for any political party. It looks like they don’t need anyone, neither the common people’s support nor the support of their own karyakartas who invested their blood and sweat for their party.
3. Compromising Hindutva for pleasing the other parties in the allies: Shivsena never received the people’s mandate to form the government, it was a dirty politics that made Uddhava Thackeray Chief Minister of Maharashtra and Congress and NCP come into the power. And to get the CM chair, Shivsena had to compromise a few things and Hindutva is prominent in that. Shivsena is built with a few fundamental principles. Hindutva is the major one. However, to keep the allies strong, Modern Shivsena had to compromise their “Kattar Hindutva” and had to be the one who played vote bank politics. Doing nothing and keeping mum on the “Palghar Sadhu Mob Lynching” incident was the biggest black spot on Shivsena, and they did not even bother to clean it. After that their stand about “Loud Speakers on Mosques” also speaks a lot about their “Hindutva Compromise”. Kattar Shivsainik never liked it. They felt cheated, they felt betrayed. And that was the major reason behind these rebelled MLAs. The common man of Maharashtra is also not able to digest this drastic change in Shivsena.
4. Selfish attitude: Many senior political practitioners says that today’s Shivsena’s attitude is different. It has become more about being CM and securing their dynasty politics, rather than working for the common man. It has become about just holding the CM position and securing Aditya Thackeray’s career rather than going into public and solving their issues. This attitude is one of the major reasons for Shivsena’s downfall.
5. NCP’s involvement in many corruption incidents: No one can ever forget about the Mansukh Hiren case and the entire Anil Deshmukh, Sachin Vaze, and Parambir Singh incident. Post that Nawab Malik’s involvement with Daood who has the blood of Mumbai on his hands. Everything raises the question of Shivsena's interest. Why were they protecting these people? Just for the power?
The reasons can be many, the reality is that the greed for power, CM position, and being supreme is the reason behind shivsena’s today’s condition. They are the one who is giving chances over chances to the opposition to talk about their failure. And this has been a major setback for Shivsena.
These MLAs are not the ones who ditched or betrayed shivsena, maybe it is vice versa and that’s the reason behind the collapse.
