Singh said, “Glad to see the Deputy Prime Minister and the Defence Minister of Australia, @RichardMarlesMP doing Yoga on the #InternationalDayofYoga. His participation in the Yoga Day programme makes these celebrations remarkable and special. Looking forward to meet him in New Delhi.”
The Australian Defence Minister arrived in India for a 4-day visit on Monday. His visit marks the first high-level visit from Australia after newly elected PM Anthony Albanese came to power last month.
During his visit from June 20-23, he is scheduled to hold wide-ranging talks with Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.
The minister also noted that India is one of Australia's closest security partners and the Government is focused on revitalising Australia's historically deep engagement with our partners across the Indo-Pacific.
