KK passes away at 53: Singer performs iconic song 'Pal' in his last show, hours before death; WATCH HERE-

Singer Krishnakumar Kunnath, popularly known as KK, passed away on May 31 at the age of 53. He was gifted with a soulful voice that will be remembered by his fans for many decades to come.

 

Leaving a void in our hearts, many fans are remembering his hundreds of iconic songs. The singer fell ill while performing at an event in Kolkata and was brought to the CMRI hospital, where he was declared dead. He was just 54 years old. A video from his last concert is now going viral, and it shows the singer performing his hit song, Pyaar Ke Pal.

 

 

 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that his songs reflected a wide range of emotions and struck a chord with people of all age groups. "Saddened by the untimely demise of noted singer Krishnakumar Kunnath popularly known as KK. His songs reflected a wide range of emotions as struck a chord with people of all age groups. We will always remember him through his songs. Condolences to his family and fans. Om Shanti," tweeted PM Modi on Wednesday.

 

The singer had never undergone any formal training in music. He was Malayali by birth but never hesitated to sing in languages he was not much acquainted with, like Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Marathi, Bengali and Gujarati. This is yet another reason why the singer's fans can be found across the nation.

 

He was greatly influenced by the singer Kishore Kumar and music director R.D. Burman. Michael Jackson, Billy Joel, Bryan Adams and Led Zeppelin were also some of his favourite international singers and bands.
