Berlin, May 3: Making his last public appearance in Berlin at Potsdamer Platz, PM Modi addressed the Indian diaspora in Germany before leaving for Copenhagen, Denmark. He said, India has ended three decades long political instability by just pressing a button.
Before leaving Berlin, Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with the Indian diaspora on Monday (May 2). He said, "I want to talk to you about the capabilities of crores of Indians and sing their praises. When I speak about crores of Indians, it includes not only the people who live there but also the people who live here." Talking about several topics, he also mentioned that 'Make in India' has become a driving force of Atmanirbhar Bharat.
He said, "People of India ended the politically unstable atmosphere of the last three decades by pressing a button. After 30 years, a full majority govt was elected in 2014 and the people of India made the govt stronger in 2019." Speaking about Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, PM Modi said, "We are celebrating 75 years of independence this year. I am the first Prime Minister who was born in an independent India. The peak on which India would be at the time it celebrates 100 years of independence, India is strongly and steadily stepping towards that goal."
He said the way technology is being included in Indian governance, it shows country's new political will as also the delivery - capability of democracy. During his address, PM Modi laid emphasis on 'minimum government' and 'maximum governance' and said, "There should not be the absence of government wherever it is needed but it should also not be wherever it is not needed." The Prime Minister, soon after his address at the Potsdamer Platz, left for Copenhagen.
