Nagpur, May 10: The Third Year Sangh Shiksha Varg (SSV) of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) was formally inaugurated on Monday morning at Maharshi Vyasa Sabhagriha, Dr. Hedgewar Smriti Bhavan premises, Reshimbag.

The summer training camp known as Sangh Shiksha Varg in the RSS parlance is being attended by 735 trainees drawn from across the length and breadth of the country in addition to 96 trainers and 35 ‘prant pramukhs’ (state in charges).

Addressing the inaugural function RSS Akhil Bharatiya Vyavastha Pramukh and ‘Palak Adhikari’ of the camp Mangesh Bhende highlighted the importance of the SSV in the life of a swayamsevak. He said that though the participating swayamsevaks speak different tounges, they realize the potent oneness through the language of hearts. This is the distinguishing feature of this SSV, he added. He said that they will stay together for 25 days and learn the techniques of RSS.

Bhende further said that we will succeed in our ‘Sadhana’ if we accomplish all the tasks with ‘Shraddha’ (faith) and ‘Samarpan’ dedication. We must have faith in our philosophy and mission and this faith will lead us to achieve our goal and accomplish our mission overpowering all the difficulties and obstacles.

It may be recalled that the first such training camp was organized in 1927 two years after the RSS was founded at Nagpur by Dr. K. B, Hedgewar in which 17 swayamsevaks participated. Since then the tradition is continued but for some breaks in 1948 following the ban on RSS in the aftermath of Gandhi’s assassination the 1975 emergency and subsequent ban and recently due to corona pandemic restrictions.

Those swayamsevaks who have completed the earlier two-year training camps at their respective places are eligible to attend this third-year training camp. The Sangh Siksha Varg contributes immensely to the overall development of the Swayamsevaks. The commitment of mind is the core teaching of this Sangh Shiksha Varg.
