India's rice export crosses $6.11 billion
India exported rice to over 150 countries in 2021-22. According to the Directorate General of Commercial Intelligence and Statistics data, India had exported non-basmati rice worth $2 billion in 2019-20, which rose to $4.8 billion in 2020-21 and $6.11 billion in 2021-22.
