West Bengal : Stones pelted on BJP MP Subhas Sarkar's convoy

Kolkata, Apr 11: Bricks were hurled at Union Minister of State from West Bengal Subhas Sarkar's convoy by unknown miscreants, on Apr 10 afternoon, in West Bengal's Bankura city. More details are awaited about the incident.

The Minister has accused the opposition parties for the attack. According to reports, about the incident MP Subhas Sarkar has said, "I am keeping fine. However, it has come to my knowledge that bricks were hurled from the right side of my convoy. I think it was a planned act by the opposition parties of the state."
 
 
 


The incident bears significance considering the West Bengal state by-polls that are to be ahead on Apr 12. The state of West Bengal has a vivid history of election based violence. Investigations about the attack on the minister's convoy are in progress. More information will soon be provided by the police authorities.
