The so-called "secularism" of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has once again hit the headlines. This time, he decided to avoid posting images of Hindu deities for a newspaper advertisement on the occasion of Ram Navami.
While they were several violent attacks reported in different states of India during Ram Navami processions, the nation still celebrated the Hindu festival in a grand manner. However, some secular leaders like Kejriwal in order to keep their votes safe i.e. of the minority communities wished in this way.
He handed out advertisements in leading dailies to wish Hindus on the auspicious festival that celebrates the birth of Bhagwan Ram. Interestingly, Ram was missing from the image. In the same image, he used a temple that resembled the central dome of the disputed structure at Ayodhya. Instead, Arvind Kejriwal had published his own photo with the image.
According to a
very interesting Twitter thread, it was found who was the PR behind this image. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government has established a government PR agency called 'Shabdarth' in 2015. At that time, they appointed Shamim Akhtar as the CEO at that time and recruited all other employees.
Now, who is this Shamim Akhtar?
Shamim Akhtar is an IAS officer who was CEO of the Delhi Waqf Board in past. According to his interview, he thinks that India is a Bramhin state and that Muslims are the new untouchables. He is facing several cases too for threatening other government officers and most important thing is that he has studied at JNU.
According to the SOP for any advertisement in the Delhi government, the final authority for advertisement falls upon Dy CM. All this indicate that all this advertisement is pre-planned for a reason i.e. to gain minority votes.
