Gangrape prime accused Vicky Ali dies in encounter, was trying to escape

Guwahati, Mar 16: Vicky Ali, the prime accused in Guwahati gang-rape case, was killed in an encounter by Assam Police last night when he tried to flee on Tuesday night. In this encounter, two lady police personnel were also injured.

 

 

"A rape accused was killed in police firing while he had tried to flee from police custody and attacked police personnel in Guwahati on Tuesday night, the same day he was arrested. Two lady police personnel were also injured," the Guwahati City Police said.

 

 

Apart from Vicky Ali, the brutal crime was committed by Faizul Ali, Pinku Ali, Puna Ali, and Raja Ali. However, all are absconding, as per Guwahati police. The accused raped a teenager in a hotel room in Adabari, Guwahati. Reports suggest that they made video of the crime, and committed multiple time gang rape threatening to make video viral on the social media. After the parents came to know about this crime, they lodged a case at Panbazar Mahila Police Station. A case was registered in this case under POCSO Act and IT Act.

 

 

Media reports claims a minor girl of class X was having an alleged affair with Vicky Ali. On February 16, 2022, he took her along with his friends to his house and together they raped her. He had also recorded the incident. He threatened that if he told anyone about the incident, he would upload the pictures and videos on social media.

 

 

While the 16-year-old girl got scared due to this threat, they committed the crime again. On 19 February, he blackmailed her again, threatening that if she did not agree, the videos would go viral. After remaining silent for a few days, the girl informed her family about the incident and immediately her parents lodged a complaint with the Panbazar Mahila Police Station in the city.
