Mississauga, December 06: In a shocking incident, a 21-year-old Sikh woman was shot dead in Canada outside a gas station in Mississauga. The victim was identified as Pawanpreet Kaur, an employee of the gas station.
According to a CBC report, the Peel Regional Police said that the victim was from Brampton and added that when officials arrived at the shooting site, they found the victim with gunshot wounds. Though life-saving measures were attempted the woman died.
Police have also said that they believe the incident to be a targeted one and the homicide unit has taken up further investigations. The suspect is believed to be male.
A news release by the police said that the suspect was in a three-quarter-length dark winter jacket with a hood, dark winter boots, dark pants, a dark winter toque, and white gloves. It appears that he was smoking a cigarette.
