Patna, Dec 26: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has reopened a corruption case against former Bihar chief minister and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav.

This comes months after the RJD stitched an alliance with the Janata Dal (United) to form the government in Bihar.

The CBI had earlier in 2018 initiated the probe into allegations of corruption in the allotment of railway projects when Lalu Yadav held the portfolio in the Congress-led UPA-1 government. The RJD chief, according to the CBI, received property in South Delhi as a bribe from real estate major DLF Group, which was interested in rail land lease projects in Mumbai's Bandra and the revamp of the New Delhi Railway Station. The probe was closed in May last year. Besides Lalu Yadav, his son and Bihar's Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav, and daughters Chanda Yadav and Ragini Yadav are also among the accused in the case.
