New Delhi, Dec 20: Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) MP Harsimrat Kaur Badal tore into Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann today and alleged that he was often caught sitting in Parliament in an intoxicated state. She even alleged that many MPs changed their seats and complained about him.

As Harsimrat Kaur Badal lashed out at Punjab CM in Punjabi, Amit Shah and Speaker Om Birla's reactions were unmissable. Union Minister Amit Shah was seen laughing lightly while Om Birla gave a smile.

"CM of our state (Punjab) used to sit in the House a few months ago. The person who used to come to the Parliament in an inebriated state is now running the state. Members who used to sit near him had complained to change their seats," SAD MP Harsimrat Kaur Badal said in Lok Sabha. This is not the first time that SAD has made such allegations against Mann. Earlier in September, the party had alleged that Bhagwant Mann was deplaned from a flight in Frankfurt, Germany for being "too drunk". However, Lufthansa airlines issued a clarification on the matter 'exonerating' the CM. In a notification, Lufthansa said the Frankfurt to Delhi flight had departed later than its scheduled time due to a delayed inbound flight and an aircraft change. There was no other reason for it. In another tweet by a user asking whether CM Bhagwant Mann was "drunk", Lufthansa News tweeted that it can't provide information regarding individual passengers due to data protection reasons.

The clarification came hours after Akali Dal chief Sukhbir Singh Badal accused CM Bhagwant Mann of boarding a flight "heavily drunk" and creating a ruckus before being deplaned.
