Love Jihad: Kerala cops arrest Abdul Shuhaib after Hindu girl commits suicide

Kasaragod, November 03: Another case of love Jihad has come to the fore from Kerala. In the latest case, a Hindu girl committed suicide after her 'Muslim boyfriend' threatened to leak her private photos on social media.

 

 

Nanda Vinod, a second-year BA English student was in a relationship with the accused name Abdul Shuhaib for the past two years. Nanda was the only daughter of an autorickshaw driver K Vinod Kumar and K S Mini of Alamipally.

 

As per the reports, he tried to break up after getting involved with another girl. however, when Nanda did not agree to end the relationship, he threatened to release her private photographs on social media.

 

 

 

Following this, she took her life. She was found hanging dead in her house on Monday. The dead body was in the upstairs room of the house.

 

During the investigation, Police found that Nanda made a video call to Shuhaib before her death. Police arrested and charged him with abetment of suicide under section 306 of the Indian Penal Code.

 

The accused was taken into custody by the police on Wednesday night. An arrest was registered in the case on Thursday morning. Hosdurg First Class Magistrate Court on Thursday remanded Shuhaib in custody for two weeks. If convicted, he faces a jail term of up to 10 years.
