Russia launches 67 missiles on Kyiv

Kyiv, Nov 24: At least three people were killed and six sustained injured in the Russian missile strike on the capital city of Kyiv. First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Emine Dzheppar took to Twitter and shared some images of the destruction caused by the Russian attack.

"Another massive missile attack by #russian terrorists on #Ukrainian cities, including #Kyiv. Critical infrastructure facilities and residential buildings were damaged. Major energy disruptions around Ukraine. Many cities are left without electricity. There are victims among civilians," Dzheppar tweeted.
 
 
 
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said that one of the capital’s infrastructures facilities has been hit. He also urged people to stay in shelters. "One of the capital's infrastructures facilities has been hit. Stay in shelters! The air alert continues," Klitschko posted on Telegram. He did not share further details of the attack. Meanwhile, authorities have reported power outages in several Ukrainian cities, including Kyiv and neighboring Moldova after the Russian attack. Russia rained down volleys of missiles across Ukraine on Wednesday, hitting infrastructure in the capital Kyiv and other cities as Moscow pursued its campaign to knock out Ukraine’s power and heat ahead of the looming winter.

Air raid sirens blared in a countrywide alert. Explosions could be heard on the outskirts of Kyiv, where the mayor said infrastructure had been hit, giving no immediate further details. Blasts were also reported in other cities. Information about casualties was not immediately available.
