MP police arrest AAP supporter for threatening Dr. Kumar Vishvas for criticising Kejriwal and praising Lord Ram

As per the police, Lokesh, who is a pro-supporter of AAP, allegedly threatened Vishwas through an email. He allegedly used to threaten the former AAP leader, whenever he made an adverse comment about Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

New Delhi, November 21: The Madhya Pradesh police on Sunday(November 21) arrested a person for sending death threats to former AAP leader Dr. Kumar Vishvas for criticising AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal and praising Lord Ram 'too much'. The accused has been identified as Lokesh Shukla.

As per the police, Lokesh, who is a pro-supporter of AAP, allegedly threatened Vishvas through an email. He allegedly used to threaten the former AAP leader, whenever he made an adverse comment about Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
 
During questioning, he said that he was angry because Kumar Vishwas continues to criticise Arvind Kejriwal through public comments and poetry. He was also angry because Kumar Vishwas was showing too much devotion towards Lord Ram.
 
"I have dedication for Kejriwal and can't tolerate remarks of Vishwas against him. The way in which Vishwas shows his devotion to Lord Ram Chandra during his public address is also intolerable to me. That is why I used to send threatening and abusive emails to him," Shukla, according to the police, said.
 
His arrest comes after, Kumar approached the police and filed an FIR in the matter at the Indirapuram police station in Ghaziabad. Acting upon which police arrested Lokesh at 3 AM from his house in Sudama Nahar in Indore. Shukla was produced before a local court here on Sunday and was sent to jail, the officer said.
 
 
 
It is notable that poet Dr. Kumar Vishwas has grown differences with his former colleague and Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal over the past few years. He had criticized the AAP convenor during the Punjab assembly elections in February 2022.
