London, Oct 27: The newly appointed United Kingdom Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak, shared Diwali wishes on Wednesday from his official residence in London, a day after being appointed as UK PM.
This came after the 42-year-old Indian-origin British Prime Minister attended a Diwali reception at 10 Downing Street. Sunak extended Diwali wishes to everyone and pledged to do "everything I can in this job to build a Britain where our children and our grandchildren can light their Diyas." He shared a picture of himself attending the Diwali reception.
