Time to ban Bible Open University of India? LRPF lays bare anti-national, sex abuse activities of Directors

Exposing grimy and grubby activities of the Vishakhapatanam based Bible Open University of India (BOUI) and its Director PD Sundara Rao, the Legal Rights Protection Forum (LRPF) on Wednesday wrote to the University Grants Commission demanding immediate action to ban BOUI from using the word ‘University’ and issuing the degrees within.

 

The Bible Open University of India (BOUI) is a Christian Theological institution situated at Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh and is functioning in contravention of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956. The said organisation has openly been awarding Bachelor, Master and Ph.D Degrees without the recognition from the University Grants Commission.

 

 

 

"For the last several years, the said BOUI has been misleading gullible youth and their parents into believing that they are fully authorized to function as a University and award Under Graduate/Post Graduate and Ph.D Degrees.

 

Towards this purpose, they are collecting huge amounts as fees from students and their parents. In addition, the Founder-President of BOUI, PD Sundar Rao has, in the past, indulged in several anti National speeches abusing National Flag/Anthem, Indian Constitution & its architect Dr. BR Ambedkar and Honb’le Supreme Court Judges. Thus, he and his team are imbibing strong anti National and Secessionist ideologies amongst their students, who in-turn go into the larger society and spread these dangerous ideologies amongst the citizens of the country", the letter read.

 

 

 

 

Earlier, the LRPF had also written to the Ministry of Home Affairs and the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights bringing to light the acts of sedition, calling for partition of the country, insulting the national flag, sexual exploitation of minor girls and other anti national activities.

 

 

As part of its theological education, the said institution BOUI admits minor boys and girls into its institution. For several years, serious allegations have been made about sexual exploitation of minor girls at BOUI. It is in year 2016 that Lazarus Prasanna Babu (Director - BOUI) and son of PD Sundara Rao (Chairman – BOUI) had faced allegations of sexual harassment of minor girl children who come to study at his own institution. The parents of the students alleged that both father and son call minor girls at odd hours during the night time and molest them sexually. It is also noticed that in order to cover up his sexual molestation activities, PD Sundara Rao makes everyone call him ‘Daddy’ and that these nefarious activities has been going on for the last five years (since 2011).

 

The minor girls are shown explicit sexual films and are asked to perform various sexual acts for both father and son. As per the news report telecasted by ‘HMTV’ news channel, a criminal case was also registered at Gentyada Police

Station, Vizianagaram District, Andhra Pradesh. 

 

In another video by local news channel dated 19 July 2016 and 26 July 2016, P D Sundara Rao is seen accepting his son’s wrong doings, calling him a ‘Person of bad character’ and cautioned people not to invite him for any function or programme lest their place be spoilt by the immoral activities of his son Mr Lazarus Prasanna Babu. Both father and son traded charges and counter charges on each other in the said video. P D Sundara Rao also accused his son of staying amidst minor girls, showing them pornographic videos, making minor children buy alcoholic beverages for his son.

  

 

 

In another video by ‘Bhaarat Today News Channel’ 26 July 2016 the parents of the affected children can be seen arguing with Lazarus Prasanna Babu and his wife while she was pleading with the parents to take away their children and pardon her husband. Though complaints were lodged with police and higher police officials assured of action, it is apparent that the father son duo of P D Sundara Rao and Lazarus Prasanna Babu have gone scot free.

- Calling the national flag of India as a ‘piece of cloth’, PD Sundara Rao questioned why people are saluting a piece of cloth with a wheel and spokes.

 

- He called AR Rahman’s singing of the National Anthem as ‘Braying of a Donkey’ and challenged police to arrest.

 

- He said that ‘people go mad at singing the National Anthem. He ordered his subordinates to make copies of this seditious speech (insulting the National flag) and circulate it all over India.

 

- He said that the National flag should hang its head in shame in front of the flags flying outside Bible Open University.

 

- He questioned the hoisting of the national flag on the Indian Independence day at state capitals and at New Delhi.

 

- He also abused Hon’ble Judges of the Supreme Court of India stating that they are delivering judgments against the law of the land.

 

 

At a rally held in Vijayawada, E Santosh Kumar, Deputy Director of Bible Open University of India demanded splitting up the country into two and handing over one part to Christians as a separate country.

 

 

At a rally held in Ramachandrapuram, East Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh, Mr. E Santosh Kumar once again repeated the above demand of splitting the country.

Hundreds of students pass out of Bible Open University of India with seditious and hateful ideas firmly implanted in their tender brains by the team of BOUI led by P D Sundara Rao and his associates. This is a dangerous issue as these students who take up the role of Christian pastors in various states further inculcate these seditious thoughts to thousands of people who come to attend their Christian religious services, thus creating a large body of citizens who hate the Nation, its prestigious symbols like the National Flag and Constitution.

 

 

Despite all these serious anti-national and other criminal activities, both father and son- PD Sundara Rao and Lazarus Prasanna Babu continue to roam around with impunity. Despite tall promises by police officials, there is no visible action taken so far in this regard. Left alone, the duo of father and son pose a serious threat to the entire nation as well as minor children who come to study in their institutions. Their outbursts against scientists, offer of a miracle cure for Covid through prayers to Jesus are an affront to modern society. Its high time now for the government to take appropriate action and save the unity and territorial integrity of this country.
