BHU introduce a degree course on Hinduism, to teach Hindu Knowledge Traditions, Arts under course

Varanasi, August 19: For the first time in the country, Uttar Pradesh's Banaras Hindu University has offered a degree course on Hinduism under which they will teach Hinduism subjects in the University.

BHU vice-chancellor Vijay Kumar Shukla gave the information about the Course, which will offer the students the opportunity to learn about the ancient knowledge system, art, and science. It will be the first such course in the country, earlier, only a diploma course was running in Himachal university.
 
 
According to the university, the course will be conducted by BHU's Philosophy department. It will delve into ancient architecture, ancient trading systems, aspects of science, the Hindu emperors, weapons, among other aspects.
 
 
 
Moreover, the university will also teach Ramayan and Mahabharat under the course. Apart from it, students will also be taught the principles and philosophies of Swami Vivekananda. The Sanskrit department will discuss practical aspects of scriptures, Vedas, and ancient records through mantras.
 
 
The university is starting the Hinduism course for two years with 40 seats and forms will be accepted till September 7. An entrance exam will be held on October 3 to shortlist the students for the course.
Smart classes will also be provided to students. An entrance examination for the course will be held in October this year and it will test the aspirants on scriptures and dharma.
