TMC's fear of losing polls surfaces! Bombs hurled at BJP's camp office in Panihati; Police act as spectators

Kolkata, April 19: In yet another incident of political violence in West Bengal, crude bombs were reported to be hurled at BJP's camp office and residence of party workers in Panihati of North 24 Parganas. BJP candidate Sanmoy Banerjee said, "TMC people have resorted to these attacks as they know they are losing the polls. Police are acting as mere spectators."

As per report, the miscreants arrived on bikes and hurled five bombs in front of the BJP camp office on BT road, Sodepur, Swadeshi Chowk. Later the miscreants hurled two more bombs, however, one bomb did not explode and was recovered by the Khardaha police. The BJP alleged that the local Trinamool Congress (TMC) workers carried out the attack.
 
 
Earlier the month, BJP MP Arjun Singh’s office-cum-residence at ‘Mazdoor Bhawan’ was attacked with a dozen crude bombs. BJP's Arjun Singh had shared images and alleged that the perpetrators also tried attacking his vehicle by throwing a bomb in presence of West Bengal Police.

This is not the first time a BJP leader was attacked in West Bengal. BJP Chief JP Nadda’s convoy was attacked in December where bricks and stones were thrown directed at his vehicle. February witnessed serious attacks on BJP leaders like Firoze Kamal Gazi and Shibaji Singha Roy as well. The Election Commission has already sent 125 companies of CAPF to the state of West Bengal.
