Ratan Tata becomes helping hand AGAIN! Announce the supply of liquid oxygen for COVID-19 patients

New Delhi, April 19: And Tata does it again! Ratan Tata-led Tata Steel stepped forward to assist the country in this major corona crisis. Looking at the shortage of medical oxygen in the country, he is going to supply 200-300 tons of Liquid Medical Oxygen daily to various state governments & hospitals.

Tata Steels took to Twitter on Sunday to announce that responding to the National urgency, the company is supplying 200-300 tons of Liquid Medical Oxygen daily to various State governments & hospitals.
 
 
Liquid medical oxygen or LMO is a crucial medical requirement for the treatment of coronavirus patients. It has become one of the most important requirements for saving the lives of critical COVID-19 patients who are hospitalised. The country and some states like Maharashtra are facing a shortage of Oxygen amid when the covid cases in the country are increasing day by day. According to the reports, Maharashtra's daily demand for medical oxygen has risen to 1,400 metric tonnes; its production capacity is 1,200 MT.
 
 
Apart from Tata, many Indian companies have united to help citizens and government fight the virus, which is gradually spreading across the country. Companies like Jindal Steel, ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel, and SAIL had also announced that they are supplying oxygen for medical use.
 
According to reports, Sajjan Jindal-led JSW Steel is supplying 185 tonnes of oxygen daily to the state government from its Dolvi plant in Maharashtra whereas ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India is supplying 200 MT of liquid oxygen to medical facilities in Gujarat.
 
Besides, Steel Authority of India Limited has already supplied more than 33,300 Tonnes of Liquid Medical Oxygen for the treatment of COVID-19 patients.Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Industries Ltd. has also started supplying oxygen from Jamnagar to Maharashtra at no cost due to the acute shortage faced by the state.
 
These contributions will act as a bridge and reduced the demand-supply gap of oxygen. It will surely boost the adequate supply of oxygen in the country.
