New Delhi, April 15: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday inaugurated Indian Air Force ( IAF ) Commanders' Conference at Air Headquarters (Vayu Bhawan) here. The conference is aimed at addressing the issues of IAF's operational capabilities in the times to come, the Defence Ministry said in a statement.
A series of discussions would be conducted over three days to address strategies and policies related to capabilities that would give IAF a significant edge over its adversaries.

The meeting comes at a time when India and China have been engaged in a standoff for over 11 months and are currently negotiating a withdrawal of troops and weapons from friction points on the contested Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh. IAF remains in a high state of readiness in the Ladakh sector with newly-inducted Rafale also being deployed there.

"The conference of apex-level leadership is aimed at addressing the issues of IAF’s operational capabilities in the times to come. A series of discussions will be conducted to address strategies and policies related to capabilities that will give IAF a significant edge over its adversaries," an official statement said.
