New Delhi, Apr 12: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called the ‘Tika Utsav’ as the beginning of the second major war against Corona. The Prime minister has emphasized special focus on social hygiene along with personal hygiene for the second war against Corona.
The Tika Utsav started on Apr 11, on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule and will continue till Apr 14, which is another significant day as it is the birth anniversary of the father of Indian Constitution, Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar.
The Prime Minister stressed four points with regard to the drive; Each One- Vaccinate , Each One- Treat One, Each One- Save One, ‘micro containment zones’. The first point refers that those who can’t go themselves for vaccination, such as illiterate and old people, should be assisted. The second point involves helping people in getting Corona treatment, who do not have resources or knowledge to get it.
The third pint signifies that I should wear mask and save myself as well as others and this needs to be stressed. The last point states that society and people should lead in creating ‘micro containment zones’. Family members and community members should create ‘micro containment zone’, in case of even a single positive case. According to the prime Minister, Micro containment zones’ are a key component of fight against Corona in a densely populated country like India.
PM Modi emphasized the need for testing and awareness and asked every eligible person to get vaccinated. He said this should be the primary effort of both the society and the administration. He also pointed out the issue of vaccine waste and insisted that we have to move towards zero vaccine wastage. He further added that, optimum utilization of vaccination capacity is a way of increasing our capacity.
