Ahead of Assam elections, UP CM Yogi Adityanath visits Kamakhya Temple

Guwahati, Mar 17: The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, as the star campaigner of BJP for the coming Assam assembly elections, is on a day visit to the state on Mar 17. Yogi Adityanath began his election campaigning in Assam by visiting the historic Kamakhya temple and offered his prayers before leaving for election rallies.

The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will be attending three public rallies at Hojai, Kalaigaon and Rangiya assembly constituencies, in order to build the mood of campaigning in the state, ahead of the state assembly elections.  According to the list of star campaigners that BJP has released for the Assam Legislative Assembly Elections, other names that are included in the list for campaigning include the names of Prime Minister Narendra Modi as well as BJP national president JP Nadda.

The BJP list of star campaigners for the Assam polls includes Union Ministers Amit Shah, Nitin Gadkari, Narendra Singh Tomar and Smriti Irani. The Chief Ministers that are included in the list are Yogi Adityanath of Uttar Pradesh, Shivraj Singh Chouhan of Madhya Pradesh and N Biren Singh of Manipur.
 
 
 

Starting from Mar 27, the state of Assam is going to polls in three phases. The second and third phase of Assam's polling is planned to be held on Apr 1 and 6, respectively, whereas the results of the elections will be declared on May 2, when the counting is planned to be executed.
