Since independence, it has been always in the veins of Pakistan to blame India for any incident that takes place in Pakistan. It was Pakistan who had always pointed out that India is obsessed with cows and its protection. But guess what the tables have turned! It has started to adopt the cow science to come out of the economic crisis.

Pakistans's love for cows

In a big surprise, the Imran Khan-led government is planning to generate energy from cow dung available at Bhains colony to power buses in Karachi. This comes as Pakistan Minister for Climate Change Zartaj Gul put forth this initiative before the Senate. Though the reason behind this idea is to cut down the environmental crisis, it has more economical shade.

Following this statement, it seems like PM Imran Khan has decided to turn this year as 'cow year' in order to solve the increased misery of the country and through what? Cow. Khan had promised to deliver a new Pakistan to the people once in power. So how? With the help of cows. When the news of successful dung experiments in India started to spread, Khan made it clear that he does not want to criticize anyone on this issue. However, he had said, "If India is producing energy from cow dung, then we will also do the same."

In order to do so, Pakistan can definitely get help from its "dear friend" - China. But Pakistan understood that no research was being done on cow dung in China. However, it can definitely, get help from China to give milk. Apart from this, Pakistan also observed if more emphasis is put forth on Pakistan's "Bob Indicus", then it can produce milk four times more than now. It should be noted that this cow has an Indian origin.

Minor revolutions turning major

Since August 2018, there have been other minor revolutions in the making - like olive revolution or the charas and bhang revolution or even the honey revolution. But nothing like the one involving a cow, milk, and dung. The Khan government is exposing itself to have a fascination with cows, buffaloes, calves, sheep, chicken and their eggs. Remember, he had announced to empower women through the allocation of domestic animals to them, so that they can support their families and earn a livelihood.

The Foreign Aid

Though Zartaj Gul is pursuing this issue within Pakistan, Khan is trying to get the technology from outside. PM Khan claims that cows in China and Holland yield three to four times more milk than their Pakistani counterparts. However, cattle owners counter the Prime Minister’s claim that Pakistani cows give just six litres of milk per session. They say some local varieties give up to 22 litres in a single session and, hence, about 44 litres in a day. What exactly he is trying to claim?

On one hand, Khan is trying to extract nutrition and foreign exchange from cow's milk and on the other to resolve the economic crisis Gul has mentioned that the issue of fuel and electricity in the country should be resolved on the basis of dung. It should also be noted that from India's point of view, most of the Indian-origin cows, that are important are in Pakistan. Sahiwal, Kankrej, Gir, Tharparkar, Haryanvi - these cows are in the Indus Valley but the ‘Bhagnur’, which is considered to the topmost cow is in Balochistan.

All in all, the tide has definitely turned over as this indicates that Pakistan is trying to revive its weak economy through nothing but the cow, the same Pakistan which has called names to Modi government for being so obsessed with cows.
