Ind vs Eng: Crowds allowed for second Chennai Test

Chennai, Feb 3: Bringing joy to all the Indian cricket fans, the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association announced that crowds will be allowed up to 50 % of the stadium capacity inside the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai for the second Test between India and England, set to be played from February 13.

However, the stadium in Chepauk will be shut for the spectators for the first Test of the four-match series. "The first Test Match between India and England being held between 5th and 9th February 2021 will be played behind closed doors without spectators as a precautionary measure for COVID-19 situation," TNCA, the host association of the first two Tests, stated in a release.
 
 
"In view of the Government announcement that 50% occupancy would be allowed in stadia, Tamil Nadu Cricket Association will allow 50% spectators for the 2nd Test to be held between 13th and 17th February 2021."

The upcoming series against England will be India's first international assignment at home since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.
