New Delhi, Dec 18: Union Minister R. K. Singh had called for respecting all the religions to put a full stop to religious tensions, discriminations and conflicts in the country. He also strongly advocated for ban on religious conversions.
Extending X-mass compliments in advance the Union Minister expressed anguish over conversion of 20000 people of four districts in Karnataka to Christianity sometime ago. Describing this as very unfortunate he pleaded strongly for ban on religious conversions.
Addressing a Christmas celebration meeting organized at Nagaland House by the Bharatiya Christian Manch Singh stressed on creating an atmosphere of peace and harmony for achieving new heights of development under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The Christmas Celebration program was marked by the gracious presence of senior RSS leader Dr. Indresh Kumar, senior BJP leader Tom Vadakkan, BJP National Vice President M Chuba and representatives of the USA, Russia, Korea and other such 10 countries,
Taking a dig at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s comment on Hindu and Hindutva, Indresh Kumar said that Rahul’s knowledge and understanding of Hindu and Hindutva is abysmally shallow. He said that there was no existence of a Hindu sans Hindutva. He said that by differentiating Hindu and Hindutva Rahul Gandhi has separated the body from the soul. He has very little knowledge and understanding, Kumar said.
It may be recalled that addressing a rally in Rajasthan Rahul Gandhi had said that India is a country of Hindus but not of ‘Hindutva-Vadis’ and appealed them to remove the Hindutva-vadis from power and bring the rule of Hindus.
The RSS leader also criticized the political leaders who adversely commented on the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor casting aspersions against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Especially the comment made by SP leader and former UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav came under strong criticism from Dr. Kumar who said that such leaders should refrain from making such ‘uncivilized’ comments.
Leaders of various political parties must learn to respect each other and try to behave in a civilized manner. He said that Akhilesh Yadav never misses an opportunity to attack the Sanatana Dharma; he never lets go any such opportunity to insult his father. He should not project India as uncivilized country.
