Pune, Nov 27: Fondly called Pankaja Didi, Maharshi Karve Stree Shikshan Sanstha has decided to give Baya Karve Award this year to Kilambi Pankaja Valli who has done exceptional in social and educational fields.
According to a press release, "Maharshi Karve Stree Shikshan Sanstha gives Baya Karve Award every year to a woman who has done remarkable work in social and educational fields. The 26th Baya Karve Award to be given this year has been announced to Smt. Kilambi Pankaja Valli."
Pankaja has provided medical aid to those injured in terrorist attacks in Jammu and Kashmir. She has also visited hospitals for their care, reassured citizens, provided them food & shelter and shelter & care for orphaned children. Aditi Pratishthan has started a hostel for girls who have been orphaned in terrorist attacks, bomb blasts etc.
In the border areas, terrorists from Pakistan break into the homes of civilians, threaten them and force them to marry their girls with terriorists. Pankaja Didi takes care of the girls who are victims of such scams at great risk and that too without revealing their identities. She has also received threatening letters from terrorists but she has continued her noble work without fear.
Therefore, Pankaja didi is known as the support of orphan girls in the family suffering from terrorism. The Samstha has selected Smt. Pankaja Didi for this year’s 26th Baya Karve Award in recognition of her unparalleled social work. The award is scheduled to be conferred on Monday, November 29, 2021, at the hands of Indresh Kumar, National Executive Member, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.
