How can Delhi Metro allow 'Namaz without permission' in public premise? VHP's Vinod Bansal says this is like promoting Jihadi mindset & land jihad

It's the Delhi Metro premise (public place) and there's a man in white praying Allah, reading the Namaz at around 6 pm in the evening. The statement of story is not that simple as it looks. The incident was brought to light by the National Spokesperson of Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Vinod Bansal where he happened to share a video of a Muslim man offering Namaz at the exit gate of Botonical Garden metro station in Noida.

  

"Is it allowed in Delhi Metro premises?", was one simple question he asked and the good it did was exposing around 35 lakhs of 'Jihadi minds' as he termed them. "Why do you think it is not allowed? A person quietly praying in a corner without disturbing any one. Why does a prayer make you so insecure?", replied one of the twitter users. "Is doing unauthorised filming within the Metro premises allowed?", the other added blatantly. But these would have never been the repiles if people in fact tried to understand the reasons behind Muslims doing such acts.

 

In a series of tweets further, Vinod Bansal mentioned that it is the mentality of Muslims to use their religion as a weapon to grab the land forever. "First one person will offer Namaz for five minutes. Then more will join him. Then they'll put a tent and then it will become a permanent place of their religious worship. This is how land jihads happen", he tweeted. While in an exclusive talk with newsbharati.com, Vinod Bansal exposed the people for asking cross questions. "The authorities to whom my question is addressed are silent and other lakhs of people are showing concern to that Muslim man who was reading Namaz in a 'No Entry' area. I am not against Namaz but why do they have to do it publically and show off  their power? Did they take any permissions?", he said.

 

 

 

It becomes important to note here that according to UP Shia Waqf Board chairman Syed Waseem Rizvi people are supposed to seek permission before using public spaces for prayers. "One cannot offer namaz at a public space without seeking permission from the authorities concerned. Offering namaz at public places without proper permission is not allowed in Islam,” Rizvi had said earlier back in 2018. Prominent Muslim cleric and member of the All India Muslim Personal Law Board Khalid Rasheed Farangi Mahali also has opined that Muslims should avoid offering namaz at places where it inconveniences others. “People must adhere to the directions of the local administration when it comes to using public spaces for offering namaz. It is best that one offers namaz either inside one’s home or at a designated place such as a mosque,” the Muslim scholar had said then.

 

 

 

 

Vinod further to newsbharati.com says that, "The tweet has attained more than 7 lakh engagements and around a crore views. This shows how significant the matter is. The Delhi Metro has not yet answered the question I asked. How was a man allowed Namaz in public place? This also becomes a security concern at Metro stations. Will they also take no action if more people join him in offering Namaz? Permission is must. Similar incident has happened in Gurugram where local opposed offering of Namaz in public place. The incident was on the verge of Land Jihad".

 

 

 

This is in reference to a video of Gurugram residents pushing back against the public offering of namaz in their locality, that had gone viral on the internet. The video showed people protesting against the public Namaz offering and a man arguing with the police saying that ‘Asking questions does not mean instigating riots’ and raising safety concerns about the situation. "Specific Muslim groups usually carry out public namaz in a bid to encroach land illegally", the locals also had said then.

 

 

Some of the verified handles like Sanjukta Basu who is the editorial consultant at National Herald said that what was there to even ask? "Did you ever ask if walking talking pan gutka chewing laughing coughing etc are allowed in metro station or not?", she said. "And how does that affect you actually?", said another one. 

 

 

 

 

 

"This shows nothing but the Jihadi mindset of these 'educated people' who are exposing themselves. People like these and the Metro authorities are promoting Jihadis by not taking action, ignoring the incident and also by standing up in unity for them. I repeat I have no problem with Muslims offering Namaz. It's just about them using public places for their religious purpose. They are free to offer Namaz inside the Masjids, not on the roads. This is dangerous", he made it clear appealing more and more people to raise awareness about the issue and protect the public places from becoming no more public.
