Sparring no one! Indian Army neutralises five terrorists in Kashmir's Shopian district

Srinagar, October 12: Having a fierce gunfight encounter with terrorist, the security forces in Jammu and Kashmir neutralized five terrorists in two separate encounters in Shopian district today. Four soldiers including a Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) were martyred yesterday in a gunfight in Kashmir Valley.

Providing details, the J&K police officials stated that three terrorists of Lashkar-e-Toiba (TRF) were killed by security forces early this morning in an encounter that had broken-out last evening at village Tulran in Imaam Sahab area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district. Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir Vijay Kumar said that one slain terrorist identified as Mukhtar Shah of Ganderbal had shifted to Shopian after killing one street hawker Virendra Paswan of Bihar in the outskirts of Srinagar city, few days back. Incriminating materials including arms & ammunition were recovered from the possession of the slain terrorists.
In another encounter in Feeripora area of Shopian district today, two terrorists have been killed by security forces. The operation in the area was still underway when the last reports came in.
