Netaji Bose's birth anniversary to be remembered as 'Parakram Diwas'

New Delhi, Jan 19: The Union Government has decided to celebrate the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose as 'Parakram Diwas' annually on Jan 23. The Union Ministry of Culture has notified that the decision has been taken in order to honor and remember Netaji’s valiant spirit and selfless service to the nation. According the ministry's notification, the people dotingly remember Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose's unprecedented contribution to the nation on his 125th Birth Anniversary.
On Dec 21, Prime Minster Narendra Modi had urged the people to mark Netaji's 125th birth anniversary in a grand manner. Following the Prime Minister's statement, the Union govt has been arranging for grand celebrations of the 125th birth anniversary year of Netaji beginning from the first month of 2021 in a befitting manner at national and international level.
Recently, A unique art workshop and exhibition on Netaji’s life and legacy to commemorate the 125th Birth Anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose being organized by the National Gallery of Modern Art, New Delhi at Natioanl Library of India in Kolkata.
On Jan 23 1897, Netaji was born to Adv Janakinath Bose in Odisha's Cuttack. The little child born to Janakinath was fated to significantly mold the Indian freedom struggle and walked India towards independence after a period of 200 years of demeaning British Raj. Bose's Azad Hind Fauj is credited to initiate the freedom struggle to an advanced phase.
Unfortunately, the death of such a heroic personality continues to remain a mystery for the world. It was believed that while the leader was on his visit to Taipei in 1945, his plane crashed leading to his death, since no signs of his survival had been traced ever since the incident. Recently, in 2017, the Central govt confirmed through an RTI that the incident was entirely responsible for Bose's death.
