New Delhi, June 18: While the entire country is angry at China for the provocative attack on our soldiers and the violent face-off claiming 20-odd lives of our armed forces, a prominent newspaper of Kolkata insulted the country and the soldiers by publishing a derogatory and defeatist headline.

The headline in The Telegraph’s June 17, 2020 issue read as follows: “Hamare Ghar mein Ghus ke Mara”. It mischievously interprets the government's stand on development works within out border. Also blamed the government for ‘deceiving the nation’.

The entire approach of the newspaper was pro-China and anti-Bharat, at least it appears from the layout and display of headlines. The paper is known for its ‘anti-Modi’ and ‘anti-BJP’ stand but now it has adopted an ‘anti-Bharat’ stance too.

When a Taiwanese news portal depicted Bharat’s attempt as “India’s Rama takes on China’s dragon’ showing a picture of Lord Rama poised to slay the dragon with his bow and arrow, our own newspapers are demoralizing our own soldiers and insulting our own government. The government must take punitive action against such ‘anti-national’ newspapers.

The Congress party is also criticizing and questioning the government, particularly Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the border clashes. Congress MP Rahul Gandhi known for his ‘quixotic style, has raised questions as to why our soldiers were not allowed to carry arms? Many in the Congress party have echoed Rahul Gandhi.

The fact is that the Congress party and the Communist Party of China (CPC) had entered into an (MoU) in 2008 on strengthening the organizational network and that MOU was signed by none other than Rahul Gandhi himself.

The Communists are known supporters of China. Sitaram Yechuri and other Communist leaders have advised the government to make an authoritative statement as to what actually happened. It’s imperative that both governments advance the process of disengagement on the basis of the agreed understanding of maintaining peace and tranquility.

Meanwhile, #TeachLessonToChina has become a worldwide trend on twitter as a mark of protest against the Chinese misadventure in the Galvan sector.

Nationalists across the globe condemned the Chinese action and have started protesting against China in many places. In the recent past too, China tried to make incursions into Bharat’s territory.

Netizens took to Twitter to protest against China’s violent behavior and started tweeting with hashtag #TeachLessonToChina from 17 June morning. It soon became the national top trend in Bharat on Twitter with over 70,000 tweets being tweeted using this hashtag.

IN fact, China’s treacherous war strategy should be given a befitting reply by implementing the policy of Chanakya. The Modi government should take all the necessary steps to ensure the safety and security of our borders. The people of Bharat are strongly behind the government.

There’s no doubt that the Indian army will teach China a lesson while fighting at the Indian borders; however, every Indian should also fight the battle by boycotting Chinese products keeping in mind the country’s pride, and defeat China on all levels. Breaking China’s economic supremacy is the only effective deterrent to arrest the expansionist designs of the Dragon.
