Buena Park, California (USA), June 12: The Sewa International and Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh (HSS) donated 200 surgical and 400 KN95 masks to the City of Buena Park at an informal meeting with Mayor Fred Smith in the City Council Chamber.

The Mayor was introduced to Sewa International and the HSS and their motto, “Service to Humanity is Service to God”.

The activists of Sewa and HSS had a good discussion with the Mayor for about 20 minutes. He took a deep interest in our faith and culture. He asked several questions to quench his thirst to gain knowledge about Hindu, Sikh & Jain faith. We gave him a detailed background of our Sanatan tradition, said Amit Desai, a Sewa activist who was present on the occasion.

Mayor Smith presented Sewa International and the HSS with a beautiful plaque in appreciation of our contribution to the community.
