Hyderabad, December 30: One month after announcing grand entry in the dravidian politics, superstar Rajnikanth has pulled back his decision in a dramatical way saying he will not be entering politics over his health reasons.

It should be noted that his announcement comes two days after he got discharge from the hospital where he was admitted due to severe blood pressure fluctuations. He announces the decision through a long letter via the social media platform.

In an open letter in Tamil to the public, he said, "I regret to inform you that I cannot enter politics. I alone know the pain I went through while announcing this decision. I will do whatever I can for the public. But I apologise, I cannot start a party. I have always spoken the truth, and I am speaking the truth now as well."

The said, "He does not want to make the people feel like a scapegoat, but his recent health conditions have come as a warning from God." He added that he doesn't want to start something and let it go halfway through. He said his health is not allowing him to do this at this juncture and hence he wants to refrain from starting this party.

"Forgive me because this decision will cause disappointment to those in Rajini Makkal Mandram and those who expected that I will enter politics,” Rajinikanth said in a three-page statement he issued on Tuesday.

He assured the people that even if he is not entering electoral politics, he will try his best to do service for the people. He thanked Tamilaruvi Manian for motivating him and urging him to take care of his health despite criticisms. He also expressed his gratitude to Arjunamoorthy for quitting his role from a national party and agreeing to join his party.

Rajinikanth was expected to launch a political party in January 2021. His political advisor Tamilaruvi Manian had earlier said their party will contest all 234 seats in the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.
