G-pay to charge transfer fee, expel its payments on web app

Bengaluru, November 25: Expelling its peer-to-peer payments facility on its web app, Online payment major G-pay is going to start charging transfer fees for the transaction from next year.

As per the notice sent by google, pay.google.com will no longer work from January next. With that notice, the user will not able to transfer any funds via the web app. Earlier, users can make payments using the G-pay app as well as from the web app.
 
"Starting early in 2021, you won't be able to use pay.google.com to send and receive money from other people. To send and receive money, use the new Google Pay app," the company informed.
 
Apart from the development, modifying its rule G-pay has also decided to add a fee on instant money transfer. It can take 13 business days when you transfer money to your bank account. Debit card transfers are usually instant. There is a fee of 1.5% or $.31 (whichever is higher) when you transfer out money with a debit card," the company said on its support page,” Google said in a statement.
 
This development comes days after it launched, all-new Google pay app along with new features for Android and iOS users. The redesigned app has been launched in the US.
 
Google pay is Google's online payment app that offered the ability to transfer money from one bank account to another and, it provides the facility to pay online from their bank.
