Water Sports Activities resumed at Andaman under restrictions

Port Blair, Nov 21 : Water Sports Activities like Scuba Diving, Sea Walk, Parasailing, Jet Ski and Sea Kart have been started with strictly adhering to the Corona SOPs at the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The reopening of these water sports activities is expected to attract more tourists in the coming time.

 

The Tourism activities were partially allowed on Sept 27 in Andaman and Nicobar islands.The Directorate of Tourism has recently formed detailed SOPs for the reopening of these activities in consultation with the National Institute of Water Sports, Goa. Guests and operators are obliged to verify their status in Aarogya Setu App.

 

Access at the diving centre will be denied to all other guests except to those going for diving. Oxygen levels of 94% & above and body temperature lower than 38 Celsius have been recommended for entry for diving and sea walk. The operator will be debarred for 15 days for first time violation, while second time violation will attract suspension of license for 3 months.
