Rohit Sharma, who is currently injured for Mumbai Indians, has not been called up in any of the three squads as the protocol prevents the selection committee from including any player who is injured at the time of selection. The BCCI Medical Team will continue to monitor the progress of both Rohit and Ishant Sharma, who has suffered an abdominal injury whilst training for Delhi Capitals.

However, KKR's Varun Chakravarthy, who has had a rewarding IPL 2020 so far, has been named in  T20 format. Meanwhile, KL Rahul who was not named in the Test squad for West Indies tour will be make a comeback as a vice-captain in the ODIs and T20s. In a first, Navdeep Saini has been called up for all the three formats. RCB Mohammad Siraj will be playing in white-ball formats.
